Dr. Zebin Dholasaniya is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist in Richmond with certifications in Orthokeratology, MiSight, and as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Originally from Friendswood, Texas, Dr. Z is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate eye care to her patients. Her expertise includes primary vision care, specialty contact lens fittings, myopia control, glaucoma management, and treating ocular surface disease. Dr. Z's approach centers on thorough and transparent care, with a strong belief in the importance of early detection and intervention to ensure better health outcomes.
Why Did You Want to Become an Optometrist?
Dr. Z's passion for optometry stems from her desire to make a meaningful impact on people's lives by preserving and enhancing their vision. Her interest in the field was sparked during her undergraduate studies, where she developed a fascination with the complexities of ocular health and the critical role it plays in overall well-being. This passion led her to pursue a career in optometry, where she could combine her love for science with her commitment to patient care.
Where Did You Study Optometry?
Dr. Z earned her Bachelor of Science and Arts degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry with honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry. During her time at the University of Houston, Dr. Z received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, equipping her with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide top-notch eye care.
Outside of the Optometry Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When she's not in the office, Dr. Z enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family. She has a passion for creative writing, particularly poetry, and often spends her free time crafting verses that reflect her experiences and observations. Dr. Z also loves to travel, exploring new places and cultures, and is an avid baker who enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
Community Involvement
Dr. Z is committed to giving back to the community and has been an active participant in the See to Succeed outreach program, providing eye exams to school-aged children in underserved areas. She is also a proud member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association, continually seeking opportunities to volunteer and make a positive impact in the Fort Bend community.
